How do you use a Konjac sponge?
Soak the sponge in warm water for 10 to 15 minutes. This will help expand it to full size. Gently squeeze out the excess water, and it’s ready for use. No stress, no fuss.
Cleanse or exfoliate your face by moving the sponge in a circular motion, starting in the center of your face and work your way out and up, avoiding the eye area.
You can use the sponge with or without a facial soap or cleanser or use in a double cleanse routine, first with a cleanser, then rinse the sponge and use over the face with water alone to finish the routine.
How to clean a Konjac sponge
So easy. Rinse and squeeze (between flattened hands) all the excess water out of the sponge after every use and hang to dry in a well-ventilated area.
How long does a Konjac sponge last?
As Konjac sponges are a natural material, they will start to biodegrade over time. If you take care of your sponge, it should last you around six to eight weeks, but it is recommended to replace after six to make sure your skin stays clean and healthy.
When you’re ready to replace it, and here is the super-cool aspect, these sponges can be composted along with your vegetable, fruit and plant leftovers – happy skin and a happy environment!
Safety notice
Never leave a child or a pet unattended with a Konjac sponge as they can pose a serious choking hazard.
